No Football Games or Parades Here

I found this this info on http://pilgrims.net/plymouth/thanksgiving.htm Take a read:
Thanksgiving and the Pilgrims seem to go together, just like Christmas and Santa Claus--but the truth is, the Pilgrims never held an autumnal Thanksgiving feast. Before you cancel the turkey, take a look at the origin of that particular myth. In some ways, the truth is even more intriguing.

The Pilgrims did have a feast in 1621, after their first harvest, and it is this feast which people often refer to as "The First Thanksgiving". This feast was never repeated, though, so it can't be called the beginning of a tradition, nor was it termed by the colonists or "Pilgrims" a Thanksgiving Feast. In fact, to these devoutly religious people, a day of thanksgiving was a day of prayer and fasting, and would have been held any time that they felt an extra day of thanks was called for. Nevertheless, the 1621 feast has become a model that we think of for our own Thanksgiving celebration and we do know something of the truth about it.

We can assume, for example, that the harvest feast was eaten outside based on the fact that the Colonists didn't have a building large enough to accommodate all the people who came. Native People were definately among the invited guests, and it's possible. even probable, that turkey (roasted but not stuffed) and pumpkin in some form, found their way to the table. And it gets better. This is the way the feast was described in a first-hand account presumably by a leader of the colony, Edward Winslow, as it appears in Mourt's Relation:
"Our harvest being gotten in, our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together after we had gathered the fruit of our labors. They four in one day killed as much fowl as, with a little help beside, served the company almost a week. At which time, amongst other recreations, we exercised our arms, Many of the Indians coming amongst us, and among the rest their greatest King Massasoit, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought to the plantation and bestowed on our governor, and upon the captain and others. And although it be not always so plentiful as it was this time with us, yet by the goodness of God, we are so far from want that we often wish you partakers of our plenty."
From this we know that the feast went on for three days , included ninety "Indians", and food was plentiful. In addition, to the vensison provided by the Indians, there was enough wild fowl to supply the village for a week. The fowl would have included ducks, geese, turkeys and even swans.
Much of the information we have about the feast, and this period in the lives of these people, is the result of research conducted by the staff at Plimoth Plantation, the living museum in Plymouth, Massachusetts, that re-creates the lives of the Pilgrims with Mayflower II, the 1627 Pilgrim Village, and a native homesite. From this research we know about the foods and recipes that would have been available to them, and from two first hand accounts(the second was written by William Bradford, Governor of the colony for 33 years, and can be read in Of Plymouth Plantation 1620-1647), we have a good idea of how the village looked, what the colonists wore, how they spoke, what animals they owned and how they lived. We even know what games they played, what their views may have been on everything from their new home to religion and politics. And with all this knowledge, we piece together what foods would have been served at the feast, how the table looked, how the setting looked, even perhaps what the conversation was like.

Genius' Need Not Apply

I have always wondered what makes a person want to run for elected office. On the local level it makes sense; your child goes to the school so you run for the school board. The city you live in does not run to your liking so you run for a council seat. Or even mayor. The state senate or assembly becomes a little more dicey, ie money and time and you must lick many a boot just to receive a few crumbs for your district. But in my non-humble opinion the governors' seat is the place to really make change. But unfortunately, you have to be independently wealthy or owe your soul to many a devil. So I have devised a plan to vault myself into the Mansion: Map out four promises of change and stick to them. Don't lie or waiver or make deals. Each of the promises will represent each year I am in office. Since I have never held office special interest and long time moss growing incumbents can take a flying leap. The 9th circus court will be reminded that the majority rule. Plus I am bigger and stronger and we can take "it out side" if need be...Pencil necks! So here I go with promise number one:
1. NO STATE PROGRAMS FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS. This will include deportation for the illegals who are incarcerated. Nothing personal it is just the law. Non profit organizations may provide services while people are relocated to their country of origin.
2. SECURE THE MEXICAN BORDER. I would reallocate monies saved from promise one to pay for state law enforcement. Also secure all ports of entry.
3. RESTRUCTURE DMV. A one time registration fee and no smog checks for vehicles newer than 1995. Driver's license renewal will be once every five years, subject to driving record.
4. ALL STATE REPRESENTATIVES WILL BE PART -TIME EMPLOYEES. That is right, they are OUR employees. Even the governor!
5. I know, I said four but my 5th would be not to run for a 2nd term.

With all the surplus funds schools and social programs can be properly funded.
You may not agree with all or any of the above and that is fine, but it would sure be nice if our future elected officials would clearly state their positions! It does not take a genius to be a politician, sorry for stating the obvious. But we sure deserve someone who is honest.

Thank God and a Vet for What You Have.

The only difference between our fighting men of today and those in WWI,II, Korea, Vietnam, GI,and II is the way they are allowed to fight. Watching the alphabet news channels' coverage of the war and listening to most politicians and commentators, it is apparent our boys have their hands tied behind their back. Car bombs? If it moves blow it up. If a shot comes out of a building, level it. If a city is hostile, raze it! War is not a social experiment. And as Truman posted on his desk," The Buck Stops Here." Unfortunatley, President Bush is no Truman.
On D-Day, the Allies landed around 156,000 troops in Normandy. The American forces landed numbered 73,000: 23,250 on Utah Beach, 34,250 on Omaha Beach, and 15,500 airborne troops. In the British and Canadian sector, 83,115 troops were landed (61,715 of them British): 24,970 on Gold Beach, 21,400 on Juno Beach, 28,845 on Sword Beach, and 7900 airborne troops.
11,590 aircraft were available to support the landings. On D-Day, Allied aircraft flew 14,674 sorties, and 127 were lost.
In the airborne landings on both flanks of the beaches, 2395 aircraft and 867 gliders of the RAF and USAAF were used on D-Day.
Operation Neptune involved huge naval forces, including 6939 vessels: 1213 naval combat ships, 4126 landing ships and landing craft, 736 ancillary craft and 864 merchant vessels. Some 195,700 personnel were assigned to Operation Neptune: 52,889 US, 112,824 British, and 4988 from other Allied countries.
By the end of 11 June (D + 5), 326,547 troops, 54,186 vehicles and 104,428 tons of supplies had been landed on the beaches.
As well as the troops who landed in Normandy on D-Day, and those in supporting roles at sea and in the air, millions more men and women in the Allied countries were involved in the preparations for D-Day. They played thousands of different roles, both in the armed forces and as civilians.
How many Allied and German casualties were there on D-Day, and in the Battle of Normandy?
“Casualties” refers to all losses suffered by the armed forces: killed, wounded, missing in action (meaning that their bodies were not found) and prisoners of war. There is no "official" casualty figure for D-Day. Under the circumstances, accurate record keeping was very difficult. For example, some troops who were listed as missing may actually have landed in the wrong place, and have rejoined their parent unit only later.
In April and May 1944, the Allied air forces lost nearly 12,000 men and over 2,000 aircraft in operations which paved the way for D-Day.
Total Allied casualties on D-Day are estimated at 10,000, including 2500 dead. British casualties on D-Day have been estimated at approximately 2700. The Canadians lost 946 casualties. The US forces lost 6603 men. Note that the casualty figures for smaller units do not always add up to equal these overall figures exactly, however (this simply reflects the problems of obtaining accurate casualty statistics).
Casualties on the British beaches were roughly 1000 on Gold Beach and the same number on Sword Beach. The remainder of the British losses were amongst the airborne troops: some 600 were killed or wounded, and 600 more were missing; 100 glider pilots also became casualties. The losses of 3rd Canadian Division at Juno Beach have been given as 340 killed, 574 wounded and 47 taken prisoner.
The breakdown of US casualties was 1465 dead, 3184 wounded, 1928 missing and 26 captured. Of the total US figure, 2499 casualties were from the US airborne troops (238 of them being deaths). The casualties at Utah Beach were relatively light: 197, including 60 missing. However, the US 1st and 29th Divisions together suffered around 2000 casualties at Omaha Beach.
The total German casualties on D-Day are not known, but are estimated as being between 4000 and 9000 men.
Naval losses for June 1944 included 24 warships and 35 merchantmen or auxiliaries sunk, and a further 120 vessels damaged.
Over 425,000 Allied and German troops were killed, wounded or went missing during the Battle of Normandy. This figure includes over 209,000 Allied casualties, with nearly 37,000 dead amongst the ground forces and a further 16,714 deaths amongst the Allied air forces. Of the Allied casualties, 83,045 were from 21st Army Group (British, Canadian and Polish ground forces), 125,847 from the US ground forces. The losses of the German forces during the Battle of Normandy can only be estimated. Roughly 200,000 German troops were killed or wounded. The Allies also captured 200,000 prisoners of war (not included in the 425,000 total, above). During the fighting around the Falaise Pocket (August 1944) alone, the Germans suffered losses of around 90,000, including prisoners.
Today, twenty-seven war cemeteries hold the remains of over 110,000 dead from both sides: 77,866 German, 9386 American, 17,769 British, 5002 Canadian and 650 Poles.
Between 15,000 and 20,000 French civilians were killed, mainly as a result of Allied bombing. Thousands more fled their homes to escape the fighting.http://www.ddaymuseum.co.uk/faq.htm

Save Our People From Whom?

I am tired of people who will use any type of problem to not only self promote, but also create a "Racial" issue where none exsist. Being poor is not a racial issue, it is a work issue. Being an illegal alien is not a racial issue, it is a legal issue. If you want racial issues just Google Farrakhan quotes. You want racial issues check out La Raza. Farrakhan's customary incendiary comments
“The need to save our people — it’s so much bigger than the personality or the baggage that has been heaped on Louis Farrakhan or others,” Farrakhan said. “Katrina has focused this agenda.”
In recent weeks, Farrakhan has raised eyebrows by speculating that New Orleans’ levees did not collapse beneath the rising waters of Lake Pontchartrain, but that they were bombed.
“Is this a means of getting rid of the poor? The black?” Farrakhan asked in a telephone interview with The Associated Press. “Is this a means of ensuring that in the elections there will never again be a black or Creole mayor of that city?”

Our Boy Does Disappoint

President Bush's decision not to nominate a true conservative should finally prove to everyone that he is not what he says he issue refuses to close the borders. He refuses to fight an all out war in Iraq. He refuses to veto any spending bill. He refuses to fully support Israel. He refuses to cut foreign aid. And his refusal to nominate Janice Rogers Brown is just plain wrong. The article below is awesome.
One-Sided 'Balance' If Ruth Bader Ginsburg could replace Byron White, Janice Rogers Brown can replace Sandra Day O'Connor. BY MANUEL MIRANDA Wednesday, September 28, 2005 12:01 a.m. EDT
As soon as Justice Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement in June, Democrats called on the president to name a moderate "consensus" replacement that would preserve the balance of the court. Now they are at it again.
By her voting record, Justice O'Connor was toe to toe with the late Chief Justice William Rehnquist 80% of the time, but where she parted with him, on key social issues such as Roe v Wade, is exactly where politically-minded Americans draw the battle lines. So naturally she has become the judicious voice of moderation for liberals. The president probably should have left John Roberts as Justice O'Connor's replacement. Unfortunately, we now have to hear Democrats and Judiciary Committee chairman Arlen Specter make calls for balance.
But in the second round of replacing Justice O'Connor, liberals have adapted and added a second tactic. As I wrote in a previous column, Democrats, having neither a majority nor a viable filibuster threat, are launching a targeted pre-emptive strike by naming the potential nominees they will fight against. Coincidentally these are the only potential nominees that conservatives will likely lift a finger to fight for.
The left's main target is the jurist liberals know is the president's ultimate Katrina exit strategy, Judge Janice Rogers Brown. Although at her hearing she was a model of grace and intellect and she wrote more majority opinions than any of her colleagues on the California Supreme Court, liberals paint Brown as "unrelenting" and a "lightning rod." Her critics say that she has not been on the federal appellate court very long, even though she has now been on as long as David Souter had been when he was elevated, and she would have had more than two years' experience had Democrats not filibustered her nomination.
Last week, even the reputedly honest Russ Feingold of Wisconsin could not resist taking a gratuitous swipe at Judge Brown while announcing his support for Judge Roberts. Mr. Feingold suggested that Judge Brown would bring back the Lochner era. That was a reference to a 1905 Supreme Court decision in which the court replaced the economic policy judgment of a legislature with its own. It was like saying no more ice cream to a room full of children.
In truth, Judge Brown has written disapprovingly of Lochner: "The name has come to symbolize judicial usurpation of power . . . using the due process clause as though it provided a blank check to alter the meaning of the Constitution as written." Despite this, liberals insist that Judge Brown favors the Lochner decision because she criticized a small part of Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes's dissent. Holmes said the U.S. Constitution did not reflect an economic structure, such as respect for private property. Judge Brown thinks that it does.

The call for balance is vapid given that a president is elected with the understanding that he will nominate someone to the Supreme Court in keeping with his judicial philosophy. George W. Bush made this a cornerstone of his campaigns. If a national election is not sufficient to gauge public opinion, a Gallup poll in July found that 70% of Americans want the high court either to be more conservative or to stay as conservative as they perceive it now to be. An Opinion Dynamics poll one week later asked this question: "When a Supreme Court justice retires, do you think the president has an obligation to replace the retiring justice with another justice with similar legal and political views?" An overwhelming 67% said no. The president is on sound footing if he leans to the right.
Not surprisingly, there is also a double standard. In 1993, when President Clinton needed to replace the retiring associate justice Byron White, a John Kennedy appointee who had been one of two dissenters in 1973 (together with Justice Rehnquist) on Roe v. Wade, no one called on him to maintain the "balance" of the court. He nominated the most pro-abortion feminist activist he could find. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was then confirmed by the Senate with a vote of 96-3.
But the left is so reliant on its balance argument that when Republican senators, and this writer, pointed out that Justice Ginsburg had posited that prostitution was constitutionally protected and that the age of consent should be lowered to 12, the same people who have distorted the records of Bush judicial nominees echoed in outrage and obfuscation. The problem is that it's true.
In papers Ms. Ginsburg wrote while she worked for the ACLU, she argued against criminalized prostitution and said that it was "arguably within the zone of privacy protected by recent constitutional decisions." In lawyer-speak that means that she, at least, tended to think prostitution fell under the constitutional right to privacy. She did not say "some would argue" or that it was "arguably not within the zone of privacy." And if arguably Mrs. Ginsburg did not aim, as her defenders say, to lower the age of consent, she was guilty of sloppy lawyering when she recommended that a statutory-rape law that had the consent age at 16 be replaced by a proposal that had it at 12.
But that is not all. The woman nominated to replace Roe's leading dissenter, Byron White, was not only pro-abortion, she wrote that the federal government should be constitutionally required to subsidize elective abortions. She urged coed prisons; criticized the Boy and Girl Scouts for perpetuating "gender" stereotypes; and suggested that "Parents Day" might replace Mother's and Father's day. Ms. Ginsburg had also opined that a law restricting the rights of bigamists "is of questionable constitutionality since it appears to encroach impermissibly upon private relationships."
Of course, when they confirmed Justice Ginsburg, liberals did not worry about balance. Actually, if not for their double standard, one might think that they had no standards at all.
Mr. Miranda, former counsel to Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, is founder and chairman of the Third Branch Conference, a coalition of grassroots organizations following judicial issues. His column appears Monday, Wednesday and Friday. http://www.opinionjournal.com/nextjustice/?id=110007324

Hamas To Convert Synagogue to Weapons Museum
By ELI LAKE - Staff Reporter of the SunSeptember 22, 2005
WASHINGTON - Emboldened by Israel's withdrawal from Gaza and part of the West Bank, Hamas yesterday announced its plan to turn a synagogue in Netzarim into a museum that would display weapons employed by the terrorist group's members against Israeli civilians.
A statement issued yesterday by Hamas said, "Qassam rockets and other locally made arms will be exposed, since it is the legal weapon that evicted the occupation forces." The Middle East Media Research Institute yesterday reported that recent sermons delivered by Hamas leaders pledged to resist efforts from the Palestinian Authority to disarm the organization ahead of upcoming elections

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS - GOD'S LAW, MAN'S CHOICE
American Muslim News Briefs
Monday, February 28, 2005

Arsalan Iftikhar, is national legal director of the Council on
American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights
and advocacy group. He may be reached at arsalan@cair-net.org.]

This week, the U.S. Supreme Court will consider whether a monument engraved
with the Ten Commandments on the grounds of the Texas state Capitol "is an
impermissible establishment of religion in violation of the First Amendment."

Reaction from religious groups is mixed - Jewish and Christian groups seem
divided and Muslims are largely absent from the debate.

Muslim silence on the issue should not be misconstrued as ambivalence
toward the Ten Commandments. In fact, the Quran, Islam's revealed text,
contains injunctions similar to all ten commandments.

A few examples:

Commandment: Thou shall have no other gods before Me.
Quran: Know therefore that there is no god but God. (47:19) Do not
associate another deity with God. (17:22)

Commandment: Thou shall not make unto thee any graven image.
Quran: No visions can encompass Him, but He encompasses all visions. (6:103)

Commandment: Thou shall not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain.
Quran: Glorify the name of your Lord morning and evening. (76:25) Remember
the name of your Lord and devote yourself to Him exclusively. (73:8) Do not
use God's name in your oaths as an excuse to prevent you from dealing
justly. (2:224)

Commandment: Honor thy father and thy mother.
Quran: You shall be kind to your parents. If one or both of them live to
their old age in your lifetime, you shall not say to them any word of
contempt nor repel them, and you shall address them in kind words. You
shall lower to them the wing of humility and pray: "O Lord! Bestow on them
Your blessings just as they cherished me when I was a little child." (17:23-24)

Commandment: Thou shall not kill.
Quran: And do not take any human being's life - [the life] that God has
willed to be sacred - other than in [the pursuit of] justice." (17:33)

Commandment: Thou shall not commit adultery.
Quran: You shall not commit adultery. Surely it is a shameful deed and an
evil way (opening the door to other evils). (17:32)

Commandment: Thou shall not bear false witness.
Quran: And (know that the true servants of God are) those who do not bear
witness to falsehood. (25:72)

Commandment: Thou shall not covet.
Quran: Do not covet the bounties that God has bestowed more abundantly on
some of you than on others. (4:32)

Such remarkable similarities are not surprising, because Muslims believe
that Judaism, Christianity and Islam all originate from the same God. God's
laws are universal, but their adoption is a matter of choice. The Quranic
order that there be "no compulsion in religion" (2:256) reverberates in
James Madison's, "The religion then of every man must be left to the
conviction and conscience of every man."

Opposition to the public display of the Ten Commandments should not imply
disavowal of their validity, just as support for their display should not
be an excuse for religious exclusivity.

I love all Ten Commandments, for their values are my values as a Muslim. I
also respect the Constitution and its support for religious pluralism. Just
as I want my government to not establish a particular religion, I also
desire that they not prohibit its free exercise. It is a delicate balancing
act. Getting that balance right is what makes American freedom unique and
enviable.

Remember This Joey?

Good ol' politicians just figure us people too dumb to remember yesterday let alone 12 years ago.
September 13, 2005
-- Different Standards 12 Years Later --WASHINGTON - Progress for America Inc. (PFA) president Brian McCabe today delivered the following statement on Joe Biden's Senate Judiciary Committee doublespeak:"In 1993, Senator Biden counseled Ruth Bader Ginsburg not to prejudge cases and she complied, refusing to answer approximately 55 questions, including questions about public education, labor laws, abortion, and many other topics. Twelve years later, he insists that Ginsburg answered questions that she clearly did not and badgers Judge Roberts for following her lead. Just because Senator Biden realizes his advice is no longer politically expedient, it is dishonest, unfair and unacceptable for Biden to attempt to change the rules of the game for Judge Roberts."BIDEN'S COUNSEL IN 1993
"You not only have a right to choose what you will answer and not answer, but in my view, you should not answer a question of what your view will be on an issue that clearly is going to come before the court in 50 different forms probably over your tenure on the court."

Ain't It the Truth

This was sent to me by a good friend.
From a Mc Comb, Mississippi Resident

What I have seen since Katrina:

The poor and the wealthy hurt by the storm.

Black, white, Hispanic, Oriental and Indian all hurt by the storm.

Christian people giving, giving, giving.

Churches going all out to minister in Jesus' name.

Neighbors going door to door helping one another.

Thugs and hoodlums going door to door looking for someone vulnerable.

Ice and water being fought over as police tried to keep the peace.

People coming up from New Orleans taking over empty houses because
shelters are full.

Out of town volunteers coming with food and staying for now a week
still serving it.

The Churches all over this part of the country doing what Christians
do in a crisis.

The Red Cross doing a job in the shelters.

The Salvation Army doing a great job in the community.

Four Hundred crewman from everywhere bring back the power to our
homes, churches and businesses.

Lines at service stations a block to a mile long.

National Guardsman patrolling the streets of McComb along with
Kentucky policemen protecting us from the hoodlums and thugs of Mc Comb,
Pike County and New Orleans (the most dangerous city in the world before
Katrina).

Drug dealers working outside shelters.

Doctors, nurses and other hospital personnel working tirelessly, even
sleeping in the hospital to do the job God called them to do.

________WHAT I HAVE NOT SEEN: ___________

The ACLU setting up a feeding line.

People for the American Way helping in the shelters.

The NAACP doing any work whatsoever.

The American Atheist organization serving meals in the shelters.

Jesse Jackson directing traffic at the gas stations.

I could go on but you get my message. It is the Christian people who
do the work, with love and compassion.

The gripers in Congress should come on down and get in line to pass
the water and the ice. Are you listening Hillary, Chuck, Teddy and all the
sorry loafers we call Senators and Congressmen. They don't have a clue as
to what this life is all about here on the Gulf Coast.

Real Life Science Fiction

Please sell me stock in this company.

Four out of the five Atlantic storms occurring so far this year have become major tempests. This is unprecedented. But spraying hurricanes with chemicals from airplanes in hopes of sapping their strength is not. Despite official denials, there is evidence that Hurricane Frances was attacked by cloud-seeding airplanes as it approached the Florida panhandle.

Everyone knows about cloud-seeding: dropping silver iodide or other moisture-clumping nuclei into clouds from airplanes to make it rain. In the USA, scientific efforts to subvert hurricanes the United States stretch back to 1947. Today, licensed companies perform this service routinely across America and around the world.

One company in Jupiter Beach, Florida pledges “to protect humanity worldwide from hurricanes and typhoons.”

Dyn-O-Mat CEO Peter Cordani Peter Cordani thinks his sponge-like Dyn-O-Gel can soak up enough water around the central eyewall of a rapidly revolving tropical storm to weaken or destroy it. The idea is to sap hurricanes of their moisture-driven potential, causing these rapidly revolving storms to lose strength, become unbalanced and fly apart.

Because the destructive force of winds increases with the square of wind speed, even a small reduction in wind velocity could significantly decrease damage and the threat to lives on the ground.

In an experiment On July 19, 2001a chartered B-57 Canberra jet bomber dropping Dyn-O-Gel off West Palm Beach removed a building thunderstorm completely from the sky - a first-ever feat documented by Doppler radar
In September 2004, the western sector of oncoming Hurricane Frances disintegrated as it came into contact with a massive “dry zone” between the Bahamas and Florida. Emerging from the dry area, Frances reformed, slowed dramatically and missed Miami, unexpectedly hooking into millionaire homes lining West Palm Beach..

Flash Back!

President Bush is far from perfect, but as I remember president Bubba got a free pass on alot of "Shady" behavior. I don't recall President Bush playing with cigars and interns while terrorist were in our sights.

Kim Weissman writes in a Congress Action update on July 13, 1997
Bill Clinton and Al Gore have conspired with known criminals
Bill Clinton and Al Gore met with known criminals who either gave large amounts of money to the Democrats or were brought in by those giving huge sums of money to the Democrats. These people included convicted drug dealer Jorge Cabrera; a Chinese arms dealer named Wang Jun; and Grigory Lutchansky, whose company, Nordex, was on Clinton's CIA watch list and who was denied entry into Canada because he failed a background check!

There was also the appearance of foreign policy quid pro quos involving Indonesia, Paraguay, Guam, Vietnam and China. Even more disturbing are allegations of economic espionage, communist Chinese involvement in U.S. elections, and compromising U.S. national security - all in the name of helping the Democrats and securing Bill Clinton's reelection...There have been about 70 Congressional witnesses who have pled the Fifth Amendment right not to self-incriminate (or chosen to flee the country) in the Clinton-Gore dollars for political influence scam.

In a round of testimony by FBI Director Louis Freeh before Congress, Rep. Dan Burton asked: “Mr. Freeh, over 65 people have invoked the 5th Amendment or fled the country in the course of the Committee s investigation. Have you ever experienced so many unavailable witnesses in any matter in which you ve prosecuted or in which you ve been involved?” Freeh responded: “Actually, I have.” Burton asked: “You have? Give me, give me a rundown on that real quickly.” Freeh: “I spent about 16 years doing organized crime cases in New York City...”

In striking down the McCarthy-era law that rewrote the Pledge of Allegiance to insert the words "under God," Newdow v. United States Congress, the Ninth Circuit breathed life into the Pledge's stirring ideal of a country "with liberty and justice for all." The decision secured liberty for children of minority faiths who have quietly been denied religious freedom for nearly 50 years, when pressured in public school to pledge allegiance to a God they do not worship. By enforcing the First Amendment, the Ninth Circuit provided justice for all children in the United States.

ACLU: In Search of a Soul

This is a true picture of what the ACLU stands for. A small minority who want a socialist and non militarist country. The ACLU has always used lawyers and the courts to push their beliefs because they only represent a very small percentage of America.

by Robert C. Cottrell, Professor of History and American Studies at California State University, Chico

Believing that only the best sorts of people should be involved in an organization like the ACLU, Baldwin sought to limit the membership rolls. At the same time, theACLU became involved in a series of noteworthy cases, including those involving Sacco and Vanzetti, John T. Scopes, and the Scottsboro Boys. ACLU attorneys helped to reshape American constitutional law, with the idea of the First Amendment providing a shield for "preferred freedoms" beginning to take hold. All the while, Baldwin continued to back a number of left-wing endeavors, supporting various United Front and Popular Front enterprises, writing about and visiting Soviet Russia, and urging that radicals and liberals in the United States join together to fight fascism, racism, and poverty.... As the period of direct U.S. involvement in World War I approached, Baldwin ended up in New York where he became a leading figure in the American Union Against Militarism...However, in a display of solidarity with wartime resisters, Baldwin deliberately violated the Selective Service Act, which resulted in a celebrated trial and his confinement in prison.

Harder to Find Than Atlantis

I watched this interview Tuesday, 20 on The O'Reilly Factor and attempted to locate more info on the net. Good luck. I will dig up Hoffa before I find a decent article! From the interview the bottom line was that a White teacher was being harassed by a few black students and the Black principal stated that their behavior was due to their culture. Where is the Rev. Jackson, or Sharpton, or the ACLU? What a blatant double standard. Reverse the roles and let the White Principal state that the reason the students are jumping around out of control is because of their culture. Every race baiter in the country would be screaming. Miss Stokes eventually was attacked:and from what I heard on Fox News and went to the hospital. So under this "It is their culture" rule, any negative behavior and be explained by the culture of the perpetrator. What a complete lack of personal responsibility. I am not familiar with the American Renaissance web site but they seemed to give a decent overview.

AMERICAN RENAISSANCE
(Posted on September 20, 2005)
Brandy Stokes, a former teacher at Brentwood Middle School in Charleston, SC who is suing her school district for anti-white racial discrimination, will appear on The OÂ’Reilly Factor tonight (8 and 11 p.m. Eastern, Fox News) to speak about her suit. (The interview we announced on Sept. 12 was cancelled due to Katrina coverage.) While she was teaching at the school in 2002, Miss StokesÂ’s black students harassed and threatened her, and made clear their behavior was motivated by racial animus. When Miss Stokes asked the black principal to do something about the problem, the principal replied she could do nothing because the abuse was a product of the studentsÂ’ culture. Eventually, Miss Stokes was seriously injured by a student and had to be hospitalized. When her hospital stay was done, she asked for her job back, but the principal didnÂ’t give it to her. Two other white former teachers at the school are also suing the district for racial discrimination

Complete Insanity

And as you read this just remember many politicians, the ACLU and Lawyers think that everyone that comes here illegally wants to work. Scum like this is why real Americans have guns.

Dr. Madeleine Cosman, Ph.D., ESQMay 29, 2005 NewsWithViews.com

Des Moines, Iowa, ICE agents recently arrested 14 convicted sexual predators. Nationwide, ICE agents arrested 2,600 sexual predators, many well-armed.
Here are a few examples of horrifying illegal alien armed sexual predators in America's heartland. These typify the national invasion.
The Des Moines ICE office and the local U.S. Attorney's Office arrested and indicted Nicolas Sandoval-Medina, 24, of Mexico, the twice-deported child molester caught with 25 pounds of drugs, 6 rifles, 2 handguns, and much ammo. Sandoval-Medina likes young girls. He first came to ICE attention when agents arrested him for sex with a 12-year-old girl in a Des Moines motel room. America couldn't easily get rid of him. He arrived illegally in 1996, was deported in July 1997, re-entered illegally, and then in December 1999 was convicted again on two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child. Criminally prosecuted for the felony of re-entry after deportation, he was removed to Mexico again in July 2000. He came back.
ICE in Minnesota recently deported the despicable illegal alien sexual predator who bound, gagged, and raped a 5-year-old Minnesota girl. Mexican Jaime Sanchez-Hernandez, 31, was convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree in October 1999. ICE arrested him after his release from the Moose Lake Correctional Facility after serving a 57-month sentence for the rape of the child.
In our treatment of illegal aliens, the criminal justice world is upside-down. Rationality demands that a criminal conviction of an illegal alien should lead to his immediate deportation. Rationality demands immediate deportation for an illegal alien after he serves his sentence in our prisons. But American law does not routinely deport the illegal alien felon either before or after prison. Our prisons release the illegal alien right back into the town he had just terrorized by his heinous acts. Illegal Alien sexual predators that menace Americans with guns and rape are among the hidden medical and social horrors of our open borders.

Please Stick to Your Word

Every nation in every region now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists.
George W. Bush

I hope Mr. Bush truly believes his quote. The United States has the people and the technology to protect our borders forever. But we need strong leadership that is willing to kill armies and blow up cities if need be!

When I was in England I experimented with marijuana a time or two, I didn't like it, I didn't inhale it, and never tried it again
Bill Clinton

Compare this Earth moving quote to the previous Harry S Trruman's. I believe both these men are Democrats.

We Need You Harry!

Carry the battle to them. Don't let them bring it to you. Put them on the defensive. And don't ever apologize for anything.
Harry S Truman
He crushed Japan and saved hundred of thousands of American lives. And I don't think he ever worried about polls.

The Boot Goes to the Beach with the Bond Girls

We needed a good distraction from all of the daily fecal matter that is called the news!

It s Time

If this information is true and the bomb or bombs are detonated then the U.S. government instantly declares war on Syria, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and we proceed to nuke all of the capitol cities. And of course, Mecca. We then deport all nationals that are from the above countries. Any American who is shown to have ties with any terrorist organization will be tried as a traitor. Any person crossing the southern border will have one warning shot fired. If they proceed the second shot will be intended to be fatal. Both borders need to be classified as a war zone. We as a country need to stop fooling around. And all mosques will be closed.

According to captured al-Qaida leaders and documents, the plan is called the "American Hiroshima" and involves the multiple detonation of nuclear weapons already smuggled into the U.S. over the Mexican border with the help of the MS-13 street gang and other organized crime groups.

The Big Lie

Fabian Nunez is the type of person who is destroying America. The issue is not one of race, but of law. You cross the border without being invited you are a criminal. The last I checked illegal aliens did not build the Silicon Valley. Pedro picks crops, he does not build planes or computer chips.

The Los Angeles Democrat also used the trip to cast a few barbs at Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and to stress his demands for better treatment of the some 2 million undocumented workers in California.......
Nunez, who spent most of the first seven years of his life in Tijuana, joined those around him in crossing his hand across his chest in salute as the Mexican flag arrived with a children's honor guard.....
Nunez said migrants had helped make California one of the world's great economic powers, "yet the gap between the poor and the rich grows greater and greater, the racism against immigrant workers continues."
He also denounced civilian immigrant hunter groups such as the Minutemen, saying they "try to deny our humanity and our dignity."
Nunez avoided reference to Mexican political issues, but praised the leadership of the union's chief, Heladio Ramirez, who is a key figure in the Institutional Revolutionary Party, or PRI, that ran Mexico for 71 years before losing to opposition candidate Vicente Fox in 2000.
The farm union itself has been a key part of the PRI for decades.
Ramirez, meanwhile, decried poverty in the countryside that he said was driving Mexicans across the border.
"That, comrades, is a national disgrace," Ramirez said. "It's humiliating that we are exporting poor Mexicans in the worst conditions so that they can achieve elsewhere what we deny them here."

I Love the Frenchies

The Associated Press Wednesday, August 30, 2005; 11:00 PM PARIS, FranceLance Armstrong's record setting seventh Tour de France victory, along withhis entire Tour de France legacy, may be tarnished by what could turn out tobe one of the greatest sports scandals of all time.Armstrong is being quizzed by French police after three banned substances werefound in his South France hotel room while on vacation after winning the 2005Tour de France. The three substances found were toothpaste, deodorant, andsoap which have been banned by French authorities for over 75 years.Armstrong's girlfriend and American rocker Sheryl Crowe is quoted as saying"we use them every day in America, so we naturally thought they'd be okaythroughout Europe."Along with these three banned substances, French authorities also foundseveral other interesting items that they have never seen before, includinga backbone and a testicle.

Mr. John Glenn

WHAT SENATOR JOHN GLENN SAID :
Things that make you think a little:
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January.
In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the
month of January. That's just one American city,
about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq.
When some claim that President Bush shouldn't
have started this war, state the following:
a. FDR deceptively led us into World War II.
b. Germany never attacked us; Japan did.
From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 112,500 per year.
c. Truman finished that war and started one in Korea.
North Korea never attacked us.
From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ...
an average of 18,334 per year.
d. John F. Kennedy started the Vietnam conflict in 1962.
Vietnam never attacked us.
e. Johnson turned Vietnam into a quagmire.
From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ..
an average of 5,800 per year.
f. Clinton went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent.
Bosnia never attacked us.
He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three
times by Sudan and did nothing.
Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions.
g. In the years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush
has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled
al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and North
Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who
slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.
The Democrats are complaining
about how long the war is taking.
But
It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno
to take the Branch Davidian compound.
That was a 51-day operation.
We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons
in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton to find
the Rose Law Firm billing records.
It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the
Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard
than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his
Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick
It took less time to take Iraq than it took
to count the votes in Florida!!!!
Our Commander-In-Chief is doing a GREAT JOB!
The Military morale is high!
The biased media hopes we are too ignorant
to realize the facts
But Wait . there's more!
JOHN GLENN (ON THE SENATE FLOOR)
Mon, 26 Jan 2004 11:13
Some people still don't understand why military personnel
do what they do for a living. This exchange between
Senators John Glenn and Senator Howard Metzenbaum
is worth reading. Not only is it a pretty impressive
impromptu speech, but it's also a good example of one
man's explanation of why men and women in the armed
services do what they do for a living.
This IS a typical, though sad, example of what
some who have never served think of the military.
Senator Metzenbaum (speaking to Senator Glenn):
"How can you run for Senate
when you've never held a real job?"
Senator Glenn (D-Ohio):
"I served 23 years in the United States Marine Corps.
I served through two wars. I flew 149 missions.
My plane was hit by anti-aircraft fire on 12 different
occasions. I was in the space program. It wasn't my
checkbook, Howard; it was my life on the line. It was
not a nine-to-five job, where I took my tie off to take the
daily cash receipts to the bank."
"I ask you to go with me ... as I went the other day...
to a veteran's hospital and look those men ...
with their mangled bodies . in the eye, and tell THEM
they didn't hold a job!
You go with me to the Space Program at NASA and go,
as I have gone, to the widows and Orphans
of Ed White, Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee...
and you look those kids in the eye and tell them
that their DADS didn't hold a job.
You go with me on Memorial Day and you stand in
Arlington National Cemetery, where I have more friends
buried than I'd like to remember, and you watch
those waving flags
You stand there, and you think about this nation,
and you tell ME that those people didn't have a job?
What about you?"
For those who don't remember ..
During W.W.II, Howard Metzenbaum was an attorney
representing the Communist Party in the USA.
Now he's a Senator!
If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you are reading it in English thank a Veteran.
It might not be a bad idea to keep this circulating.

F'n Morons!

The message being sent is to kill the criminal that walks on to your land. Link to www.michaelsavage.com to see the court papers these anti American submitted to the court. These people are the result of removing God from our schools.

.. Just a few months ago, this ranch was known as Camp Thunderbird, the headquarters of a paramilitary group that promised to use force to keep illegal immigrants from sneaking across the border with Mexico.
Now, in a turnabout, the 70-acre property about two miles from the border is being given to two immigrants whom the group caught trying to enter the United States illegally.
"Certainly it's poetic justice that these undocumented workers own this land," said Morris S. Dees Jr., co-founder and chief trial counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center in Montgomery, Ala., which represented the immigrants in their lawsuit.
Mr. Dees said the loss of the ranch would "send a pretty important message to those who come to the border to use violence."

Thanks Bill

Failures of the Clinton's administration, or more preciously the advice he received from his law staff not to go after the middle eastern men, reveals the largest flaw of Mr. Clinton; Lack of conviction. He always put himself first. He was afraid of being critiqued for racial profiling, which it was not. The last time I checked, muslim pukes are flying planes and strapping bombs on their chest, not Mexicans, Whites, Japanese,.... But this character flaw is not limited to just Billy. Most politicians no matter what the party suffer from various degrees of the illness. And the aclu helps to spread it. We are in desperate need of a Teddy Roosevelt clone. God help us!

Our country was built by great men. But some today would have you believe that our country is not great because we have not accepted the less "fortunate" countries into our American Dream . Some, and red blooded Americans can tell you who they are, see great American men of the past in a new light.... For the ACLU blame America pukes, Those are the Great Americans on the left margin and the Stooges directly on the top middle.

Where's My Liscense Hombre?

Figure $10,000 per illegal per year. Just F'n Perfect. Why do we as a nation tolerate this? Close to 30% of federal prisoners are illegal aliens. That is a 50,000 dollar tab per year. Kick all these criminals out and the American socialist can have their free medical insurance.

What About This, Allah?

Das Boot is Back in Town

With so much rubbish being spewed in our country from politicians on both sides of the alley, from leftist, communist, apologist, liberalism, gayist, cowardist and so on. This good ol' American boy had to take a break. So as a true American dude, I chugged beer, bar hopped and made fun of squirrelly looking guys with dyed hair and multiple peircings. Listened to Keith, Jones, Jennings, Haggard, Cash, Huskey, Stanley, Nelson, Williams Sr.,Jr., 80's greatest, 90's grunge,. Chased women who liked the same. And sitting on my porch on a Monday morning 1am posed this question? Where else but America is this life style possible? Nowhere! But here. I am through with tolerance, inclusiveness, multicultural, fag pride, porn pride, illegal invaders crossing my borders. You are either an America lover or an UnAmerican loser. Because never doubt for on second that the non human extremist muslims will lop your nugget right of your neck. Extremist puke muslims and the American hating left have a lot in common, mostly it is America's fault for the ills of the world. All us good American's need to start speaking out and remind the people in this country who suffer from "Historical Alzhiemers" that we are the best most God fearing country in history, the most generous and loving. Don't believe it? Then kiss Uncle Sam' ass!

Says It All

This is a clear message. And no matter what our president says, this is not a "religion of peace." There are some peaceful people practicing but not preaching peace.

This Week's Palestinian Authority Sermon: We (Muslims) Will Rule America; Israel is a Cancer; Jews are a Virus Resembling AIDS; Muslims Will Finish Them Off

The following are excerpts from this week's official Friday sermon on Palestinian Authority (PA) TV. [1] The preacher is Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris, a paid employee of the PA.
"Look at modern history. Where has Great Britain gone? Where has Czarist Russia gone? Where has France gone - France, which almost ruled the entire world? Where is Nazi Germany, which massacred millions and ruled the world? Where did all these superpowers go? He who made them disappear will make America disappear too, God willing. He who made Russia disappear overnight is capable of making America disappear and fall, Allah willing.
"We have ruled the world before, and by Allah, the day will come when we will rule the entire world again. The day will come when we will rule America. The day will come when we will rule Britain and the entire world – except for the Jews. The Jews will not enjoy a life of tranquility under our rule, because they are treacherous by nature, as they have been throughout history. The day will come when everything will be relived of the Jews - even the stones and trees which were harmed by them. Listen to the Prophet Muhammad, who tells you about the evil end that awaits Jews. The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew."

Are Christianity And Islam Equally Hostile?
By Jim Croft
Christianity does have numerous shameful islands in its history. The Crusades and some of the early missionary tactics of the Europeans prior to the 19th Century are such. Within the same time period, the extent to which some sections within Christendom used texts from the Old Testament to rationalize slavery and the barbarous treatment of indigenous people groups, along with their own wives and children, are also regrettable. However, in regard to atrocities committed in the name of and/or justified by the sayings of a deity/alleged holy writ, to this very day Islam excels Christianity and all other organized religions. Historically, when it comes to evil incited by religious fervor there are far more dissimilarities than there are similarities between Islam and Christianity. For your convenience I will list some of them:
The Old Testament of the Bible and the chapters of the Koran written in Mecca have something in common, their use as a primary guide to establish religious policy were nullified/abrogated by later revelations. The difference is that the harsh injunctions of the Old Testament were made obsolete by the mercy-based teachings of Christ in the New Testament. On the other hand, the peaceful and conciliatory portions of the Koran that Mohammad wrote while in Mecca were nullified by the harsher and more militant texts that he conjured while in Medina. In other words, the Bible’s New Testament’s mercy replaces the Old Testament’s cruel legalisms. The Koran’s merciful Mecca texts are replaced by the intolerant and harsh ones that were written in Medina.
Within the aforementioned context, the Christian groups that committed atrocities were acting in direct opposition to the express commands of Jesus and the Apostles of His Church. The doctrines of the New Testament do not provide justification for barbarisms toward any person or armed conflict to expand the Christian cause. The Medina portions of the Koran and the Hadith provide terrorists and Muslim clerics/Jihadists throughout the world with continual justification for every form of inhumane acts.
Jesus forbade His disciples to use armed force as a means to propagate Christianity. The Crusades that ran from 1095-1464AD were the result of Church-State policies that were contrived from an errant Old Testament model. The New Testament does not support the concept of the clergy having a primary influence in dictating civil policies. The terror of the Crusades lasted less that 400 years and ended after the Protestant Reformation in the 15th Century. On the other hand, the later writings, sayings and actions of Mohammed encouraged his followers to pillage Arabian tribal cities while he lived and entire nations after his demise. We must not forget that it was the Muslims who started Jihads against other nations early on in their history. Charles Martel turned them from taking France in 732AD. El Cid drove the Muslim hoards away from Spain and Portugal in the 11th Century. In part, the Crusades were a backlash against the Muslims for their attempts to overrun European Christendom from the 8th – the 11th Centuries. And as we all know, militant Jihad, unlike the Crusades, is still being waged today.
Unquestionably, there are isolated aberrations of authentic Christianity in the world today. However, unlike those of Islam, these do not draw financial and manpower support from throughout the world. When the Protestants and Catholics of Ireland were at odds one with another, the clergymen of other Western nations did not incite their young men to join the fight and they did not solicit funds to finance the hostilities from their parishioners. Not so with Islam. Its wars and terrorism are supported in every way from Muslim groups around the globe as they are incited to do so from the Mosques that naïve democratic policies overly protect.
When it comes to slavery and other human rights violations it is interesting to note that not one Islamic nation has ever instigated the initial international investigations of such. On the contrary, slavery is still alive and well in more than a few Muslim countries. We don’t have to look any further than the Sudan to see how Arab Muslims view non-Arab Muslims and Christians. Around the world the chief initiators of investigations into human rights violations are Western Democracies. Among those in violation, Muslim dictators are often found at the head of the lists.
For those who claim that Allah is also the God whom Christians worship, I would like to direct you to a book by G. J. O. Moshay. It is titled, "Who is this Allah" and is published by Bishara Publishers, Box 741702, Houston, TX 77274. It utilizes Middle-Eastern historical references to prove that Allah was a false deity that was worshipped by Arabian polytheists prior to the birth of Islam. It renders ludicrous the assertion that Allah and the Christian God of All Creation are identical.

Poor Babies! No Charmin?

Wow,this is all it takes to piss of a 7th century islam-o Neanderthal? It is probably fiction but this is what passes for news. Our wonderful American socialist should create the WHA-TV network. {We Hate America} I think I have some new reading material for my future constitutional!

NEW YORK - - The Koran is the most sacred object in the daily lives of Muslims and mistreating it is considered an offence against God, fuelling outrage over claims that the holy book was desecrated at U.S. bases.

Islam teaches that the Koran is the direct word of God, received by the Prophet Muhammad through the angel Gabriel, and it defines the belief and conduct for followers of the religion.

The Koran is so important in the faith that Islamic teaching spells out how it should be handled, including directing anyone who touches it to be in a state of ritual purity.

"The respect we show God, we show that same respect to the Koran, very much like Christians would treat Jesus himself," said Imam Yahya Hendi, chaplain at Georgetown University.

Newsweek reported a Koran was allegedly flushed down a toilet by interrogators at the U.S. naval prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, sparking deadly riots in the Muslim world. The magazine retracted the report Monday, though ex-prisoners have claimed in the past that Americans abused the holy book and another report surfaced this week.

Putting a Koran in a toilet would be especially disturbing because Islam teaches that Muslims, after using the bathroom, must wash before touching the book.

"We would never even walk into a bathroom
For Muslims, desecrating Koran dishonours God

Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán National Constitution
Preamble
Chicano and Chicana students of Aztlán must take upon themselves the responsibilities to promote Chicanismo within the community, politicizing our Raza with an emphasis on indigenous consciousness to continue the struggle for the self-determination of the Chicano people for the purpose of liberating Aztlán.
The following structure will make every MEChista accountable to its chapter, every chapter accountable to it's central (where applicable), every central accountable to its region, every region accountable to its state (where applicable), and every state accountable to the national
Article I: Name

Section 1. The name of this organization shall be the National Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de
Aztlán (MEChA). Section 2. The official symbol of this organization shall be the eagle with its wings spread, bearing
a macahuittle in one claw and a dynamite stick in the other with the lighted fuse in its beak.
The acronym MEChA shall be above the symbol with the phrase "La Union Hace La Fuerza"
below.
History HISTORICAL FOUNDATION
The fundamental principles that led to the founding of Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán are found in El Plan de Santa Barbara (EPDSB). The Manifesto of EPDSB sees self-determination for the Chicana and Chicano Chicano and Chicana Movement in El Plan Espiritual de Aztlán (EPEDA). A synopsis of El Plan stipulates: 1) We are Chicanos and Chicanas of Aztlán reclaiming the land of out birth (Chicano and Chicana Nation); 2) Aztlán belongs to indigenous people, who are sovereign and not subject to a foreign culture; 3) We are a union of free pueblos forming a bronze nation; 4) Chicano and Chicana nationalism, as the key in mobilization and organization, is the common denominator to bring consensus to the Chicano and Chicana Movement; 5) Cultural values strengthen our identity as La Familia de La Raza; and 6) EPEDA, as a basic plan of Chicano and Chicana liberation, sought the formation of am independent national political party that would represent the sentiments of the Chicano and Chicana community. Both EPDSB and EPEDA served as the historical foundation for the establishment of a viable Chicano and Chicana Movimiento, and are therefore, fundamental to the M.E.Ch.A. philosophy.
M.E.Ch.A.'S PHILOSOPHY
The Chicano and Chicana student movement has been plagued by opportunists that have sought to rechannel the energies of our people and divert us from our struggle for self-determination. The educational plight of Chicana and Chicano students continues to be ignored by insensitive administrators. Overall, Chicano and Chicana junior high, high school and college push-out rates have risen since 1969, forcing many Chicanos and Chicanas to a life of poverty. These factors along with a growing right wing trend in the nation are combing to work greater hardships on Chicanos and Chicanas. New repressive and racist immigration laws are continuously directed at our Gente. The Federal government is campaigning to pacify and assimilate our Gente by labeling us "Hispanic." The term "Hispanic" seeks to anglicize and deny our indigenous heritage by ignoring our unique socioeconomic and historical aspect of our Gente. "A nation without borders is not a nation." --President Reagan

Talk about not only blaming the US for the world's ills, but actual hate. This guy's name should be Jihad Jensen. I guarantee he would not have the guts to fight and die for these convictions. I hear that the French are looking for a few "good men." What a jack-ass!

The World is Waiting for an Answer: Are we Americans, or Human Beings?
by Robert JensenSpeech given at the Austin, TX, antiwar rally marking the second anniversary of the U.S. invasion of IraqMarch 19, 2005

The first, and most obvious, problem is: George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, Condoleezza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, and the Republican Party. We have to commit ourselves not just to getting these the ideologically fanatical reactionaries out of office but also to challenging them for control of the public conversation -- the heart of democracy -- which they have so effectively narrowed and degraded.
The second, and equally obvious, problem is: John Kerry, John Edwards, Hillary Rodham Clinton and the other corporate toadies who run the Democratic Party. I know there are some in the antiwar movement who believe the Democratic Party can be a vehicle to challenge the U.S. empire. But that wasn’t true in the last half of the 20th century, when Cold-War liberals promoted imperial policies, and it isn’t true in the 21st century, when War-on-Terrorism liberals are doing their part to prop up the empire.
Those are the easy targets, the people in power. But we face other challenges that run deeper.
We have to confront the deeply embedded racism in the United States that makes it so easy to mobilize public support for war, as long as the targets are not white.
We have to confront the barbarism of the United States, which not only has the capacity to destroy an entire society but a proven willingness to do just that to achieve policy goals.
But perhaps most importantly, we have to confront the incredible affluence and the sense of entitlement that is so common in this country. That is not a problem exclusive to reactionary Republicans or cowardly Democrats. It’s a problem in every corner of this country, including in progressive politics
The United States has 5 percent of the world’s population yet we consume about 25 percent of the world’s oil and 30 percent of the gross world product. We all enjoy, to varying degrees, the cheap toys of empire. The people at the top benefit most, but we are all living in relative luxury compared with most of the rest of the world. Half the world’s population -- more than 3 billion of our brothers and sisters -- live on less than $2 a day. Half the world’s people live on what you and I might pay for a cup of fancy coffee. We need to keep central in our minds and in our hearts the fact of our affluence and their poverty, and understand the connection.
That affluence matters politically, because it is easy for people who live comfortably to be morally lazy and politically passive. U.S. military and economic power around the world helps create and perpetuate these conditions of inequality. To challenge that power is to challenge our own affluence. It’s easy even for those who engage in dissident politics to forget that changing the politics of this country also means changing our own lives. The two projects must go forward together.
Let me put it as clearly as I can: The way we live in this country -- the way every one of us here at this rally today lives -- is morally indefensible and ecologically unsustainable. It is a way of life that can’t be enjoyed by the rest of the world, and it is a way of life that if unchecked literally will destroy the world.
So, our immediate message is clear: U.S. out of Iraq now. The U.S. occupation of Iraq cannot bring security and democracy in Iraq. It is an impediment to security and democracy.
Our choices over the long term are just as clear. On all these fronts, political and personal, we have to ask: What are we willing to give up? What risks are we willing to take?
We have a choice: We can actually live the values that we say guide our country or we can abandon those values. We can work to make democracy -- that is, a system in which ordinary people have meaningful input into the formation of public policy -- a reality in our own country. If we don’t, the unrestrained and violent use of U.S. power abroad will remain a danger.
We have a choice: We can live on top of the world or we can live in the world. The stakes are high; if we don’t find a way to force the United States to live in the world, before too long there may well be no world left for anyone.
These challenges can be condensed into a simple choice: We can be Americans, or we can be human beings.
The rest of the world is waiting for our answer

The Mind of the Enemy

This is the page where you can find the true intentions of our socialist friends. I do give them credit, they are up front with their beliefs. Notice how it is we the people of the world... and not the U.S.

Global Resistance Network project.
Mission Statement

We the people of the world find ourselves in a state of war. We find ourselves being attacked from all quarters and on all fronts by the forces of greed, militarism, prejudice, and repression. We find ourselves having to fight for the most elementary democratic rights; we find ourselves fighting for the very right to live and make a life in the world, a place without having to bow down to the might of corporate subjugation and empire.
As a response to this war on all fronts, the Global Resistance Network was initiated. The network was formed as a coalition of a new type, created as a non-partisan popular front of everyday people and groups united in resistance! The coalition is made up of people from all backgrounds, political stripes, and from all walks of life, by people who have pledged not to stand idly by and see this world and its people pillaged and subjugated by the two-headed beast of war and repression. This network pledges to resist militarism, to resist corporate globalization, to resist attacks on workers' rights, to resist attacks on students' rights, to resist the curtailment of our civil liberties, to resist sex, race and gender discrimination, and to resist wars of aggression and the occupations of sovereign territories.
The Global Resistance Network is made up of individuals and groups as diverse in our ideologies and backgrounds as the causes we pledge to fight for, and the attacks we pledge to resist. We invite all progressively conscious individuals, groups, and political parties who share a passion for social justice and world peace to join us and become part of the global movement for a better world.
We the people of the world find ourselves under numerous attacks and we at the Global Resistance Network resolve to stand united in resistance against all of them!

Ian Thompson's Crusade Against America Continues

From a talk given at the Jan 20 Counter-Inaugural protest in LA by Ian ThompsonCuba is under attack. It has been since its Revolution triumphed in 1959. U.S. sponsored terrorist attacks have killed over 3,500 Cubans and injured thousands more. The criminal U.S. blockade has been in place for over four decades and Bush tightened it in 2004. Unlike in Iraq, the U.S. military is not dropping bombs on Cuba, but that's not out of the question. The Bush administration was bad news for Cuba and the rest of the world during his first term, but the new anti-Cuba team he lined up for this term is even worse. It's full of neo-conservative ideologues bent on subjugating the world's people and its resources for profit.Newly anointed Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, and Cuban Americans Mel Martinez, Carlos Gutierrez and others are hard-line right wingers in the Bush administration. They would like nothing more than to see socialist Cuba reopened for exploitation by U.S. banks, corporations and gangsters. In her confirmation hearings this week, Condoleeza Rice singled out Cuba as a "tyranny that oppresses its people." This is false. Free healthcare, free education, jobs and respect for workers' rights isn't tyranny-it's freedom. Bush and his right wing cronies like Rice spread fear and vicious lies to divide working and oppressed people who share common interests. The people of Cuba are natural allies to workers in the U.S.Rice also threatened Venezuela, whose Bolivarian Revolution is deepening each day. Venezuela is very important to all progressives who seek broad social change. President Hugo Chávez just implemented a land law that redistributes land to peasant farmers. It expropriates rich, foreign owners who held large ranches and used them to exploit the labor of Venezuelans.Cuba's help to Venezuela has been critical in its revolutionary process. Cuba has 16,000 doctors and dentists working for free in the poorest areas of the country. We must defend Cuba and Venezuela and all peoples resisting U.S. imperialism at this crucial time.Cuba and Venezuela show us all what a world based on solidarity and cooperation can be. Let's unite and win, so we can build a better world.

Enemies Everywhere

This is the type of enemy we face in our own country. Get a load of the "Heroic popular resistance line." How anti Military can one be. This writer would not fight to save his own mother! Also take note of the "Defeat U.S. Imperialism" garbage. Make sure to send an e-mail to the anti American sites and ask them what great plans they have for protecting our nation.
I am sure flowers and flip-flops will be involved!

Military Recruiters Face Youth and Student Resistance

Against the War Machine

by Ian Thompson

“We’ll give you up to $70,000 for college.” “You won’t have to go to Iraq.” “Your service will only last four years.”

Much of what recruiters promise is based on exaggeration, half-truths and outright lies. Recruiters have to fill quotas and will do almost anything to meet them, especially during wartime.
The U.S. military—the most powerful and destructive in the world—is growing increasingly desperate to fill its ranks.

In 2005 alone, the Army seeks to recruit 101,200 new active-duty regular Army and Reserve soldiers. But recruitment in nearly all branches of the military is down.

The National Guard missed its recruitment quota by 13 percent last year. The Army fell short of its goal by more than 27 percent in February 2005 and is more than six percent behind its year-to-date recruiting target. The Reserve is 10 percent behind its target and the Guard is 26 percent short. January through March 2005 was the first time in a decade that the Marines missed their monthly goals.

What is causing this sudden decline?

The Iraqi resistance is the biggest factor. The popular resistance to occupation in Iraq has fiercely and heroically opposed the U.S. presence from the beginning. Many young people do not want to join the military to die in an unpopular war.

The strength and depth of the massive global anti-war movement has also contributed. Over the past three years, tens of millions have participated in demonstrations opposing war and occupation. The protests have impacted millions more and reflect widespread opposition to the war.

One dynamic new element of the anti-war movement is the growing youth and student movement to stop military recruiters from infiltrating high school and college campuses. Young people all over the country are confronting recruiters, staging protests, and kicking them off campuses by legal means or through militant action.

In response to their dwindling numbers, the military recently added 1,200 recruiters to the field and said it would spend more than the $4 billion already allotted for advertising and recruitment in 2005. It is also increasing economic and educational incentives to entice young people to enter. The military is continuing to push its predatory tactics wherever it can.
Defeat U.S. imperialism

The most advanced sectors of the burgeoning student movement see the anti-recruitment drive as part of the larger fight to stop the war and, ultimately, defeat U.S. imperialism.

According to Aimee Hunter, an 18 year-old student at Mission College in Sylmar, California,

“We are against recruiters because we don’t want working-class people to fight in this imperialist army. Wars like this only benefit Wall Street and big corporations. Instead of fighting against workers in Iraq, we want youth and students to join the struggle here at home.”

Like all imperialist wars, the war and occupation of Iraq hurts working people in Iraq and the United States. This includes workers in uniform who are being used as cannon fodder by the ruling class.

Student activism to keep young people out of the U.S. military serves the worthy goals of diminishing military numbers and building resistance to its hegemonic aims. Those who do not enlist in the military because of these efforts should join the ranks of the people’s movement against imperialist war, racism and bigotry.

Send in the Troops, Arizona Under Siege.

Read this, it is better than three cups of coffee!

U.S. Border Patrol agents have been ordered not to arrest illegal aliens along the section of the Arizona border where protesters patrolled last month because an increase in apprehensions there would prove the effectiveness of Minuteman volunteers, The Washington Times has learned.
More than a dozen agents, all of whom asked not to be identified for fear of retribution, said orders relayed by Border Patrol supervisors at the Naco, Ariz., station made it clear that arrests were "not to go up" along the 23-mile section of border that the volunteers monitored to protest illegal immigration.
"It was clear to everyone here what was being said and why," said one veteran agent. "The apprehensions were not to increase after the Minuteman volunteers left. It was as simple as that."
Another agent said the Naco supervisors "were clear in their intention" to keep new arrests to an "absolute minimum" to offset the effect of the Minuteman vigil, adding that patrols along the border have been severely limited.
Border Patrol Chief David V. Aguilar at the agency's Washington headquarters called the accusations "outright wrong," saying that supervisors at the Naco station had not blocked agents from making arrests and that the station's 350 agents were being "supported in carrying out" their duties.
"Border Patrol agents are the front line of defense against terrorism," Chief Aguilar said, adding that the 11,000 agents nationwide are "meeting that challenge, head-on ... as daunting a task as that may sound."
The chief -- a former head of the agency's Tucson sector, which includes the Naco station -- said that with the world watching the Arizona border because of the Minuteman Project, agents in Naco "demonstrated flexibility and resilience in carrying out their critical homeland security duties and responsibilities."
But Rep. Tom Tancredo, Colorado Republican, yesterday said "credible sources" within the Border Patrol also had told him of the decision by Naco supervisors to keep new arrests to a minimum, saying he was angry but not surprised.
"It's like telling a cop to stand by and watch burglars loot a store but don't arrest any of them," he said. "This is another example of decisions being made at the highest levels of the Border Patrol that are hurting morale and helping to rot the agency from within.
"I worry about our efforts in Congress to increase the number of agents," he said. "Based on these kinds of orders, we could spend the equivalent of the national debt and never have secure borders."
Mr. Tancredo, chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, blamed the Bush administration for setting an immigration enforcement tone that suggests to those enforcing the law that he is not serious about secure borders.
"We need to get the president to come to grips with the seriousness of the problem," he said. "I know he doesn't like to utter the words, 'I was wrong,' but if we have another incident like September 11 by people who came through our borders without permission, I hope he doesn't have to say 'I'm sorry.' "
During the Minuteman vigil, Border Patrol supervisors in Arizona discounted their efforts, saying a drop in apprehensions during their protest was because of the Mexican government's deployment of military and police south of the targeted area and a new federal program known as the Arizona Border Control Initiative that brought manpower increases to the state.
The Naco supervisors blamed the volunteers for unnecessarily tripping sensors, disturbing draglines and interfering with the normal operations of the agents. They said that their impact on illegals was "negligible" and that civilians should leave immigration enforcement "to the professionals."
Several field agents credited the volunteers with cutting the flow of illegal aliens in the targeted Naco area, saying the number of apprehended illegals dropped from an average of 500 a day to less than 15 a day.
More than 850 volunteers, in a protest of the lax immigration enforcement policies of the White House and Congress, sought to reduce the flow of illegal aliens along a popular immigration corridor on the Arizona-Mexico border near Naco by reporting illegals to the Border Patrol as they crossed into the United States.
Their goal was to show that increased manpower on the border would effectively deter illegal immigration. Organizers said the protest resulted in Border Patrol arrests of 349 illegal aliens.
Area residents, in a half-page ad in the Sunday edition of the Sierra Vista Herald, told the volunteers: "Thanks for doing what our government won't -- close the border to illegal aliens. It was the quietest month we've had in many years ... You made us feel safe because the border was closed."

Feds pay $5.8 billion to jail criminal aliens
Government study over past 3 years reveals burden borne by taxpayers

The U.S. federal government spent $5.8 billion over the past three years to incarcerate criminal aliens – nonresidents who are in the country illegally or legally and convicted of a crime.

The report by the General Accounting Office – the investigative arm of Congress – shows the number of criminal aliens in federal prisons increased from about 42,000 at the end of 2001 to about 49,000 at the end of last year.

The direct federal costs during the study's time frame were estimated to be $4.2 billion, with federal reimbursements to state and local governments totalling $1.6 billion through the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program, or SCAAP.

The majority of criminal aliens were identified as citizens of Mexico.

In addition, state prisons in fiscal 2003 housed about 74,000 criminal aliens. About 80 percent were in just five states -- Arizona, California, Florida, New York and Texas.

Also, about 147,000 criminal aliens were jailed in 698 local jurisdictions that received SCAAP reimbursement in 2003.

About 30 percent of those criminals were in five municipal and country jails -- Los Angeles County, California; New York City, New York; Orange County, California; Harris County, Texas; and Maricopa County, Arizona.

As WorldNetDaily reported, an analysis of census data earlier this year by the Federation for American Immigration Reform showed Texas' illegal immigrant population is costing the state's taxpayers more than $4.7 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration.

The uncompensated cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Texas' state and county prisons amounts to about $150 million a year -- not including local jail detention costs or related law enforcement and judicial expenditures or the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration.

Last year, the Center for Immigration Studies used Census Bureau data from 2002 to determine that the fiscal impact of illegal aliens across the nation was $10 billion. The figure was derived from subtracting taxes paid by illegals from the value of services they enjoy.

Back peddling on immigration issues ho-hum . . . what else is new?

Let's look at the potential catastrophe that could break out at any moment if the border intensities keep on escalating. War between Mexico can't be ruled out entirely, with so much hatred and contention already brewing at the lax borders. And the Bush Administration is not helping matters as many continue to be pro-active with subverting the will of the people while making rash decisions to allow Mexican immigrants to come and go at their own discretion. Something is definitely wrong with the whole picture here, and nobody has to poke holes in the picture to see the dangers lurking inside.

For some "ungodly" reason, Mexico's President Fox is under the assumption that the United States is obligated to let his people invade the country, and we are expected to roll out the red carpet for them, and to heck with the needs of our own people in the undue wicked process.

When I brought to the forefront in a recent article about the difference in the wages between Mexico and America, it was pointed out to me in an email, about how (supposedly) the low wages Mexicans earn in Mexico go a lot further there than the higher wages they make here in America go in buying the same merchandise here. Yeah, I was scratching my head too, trying to figure out what the real reasons may be for the onslaught of illegal immigration to America — if this is accurate information.

Since the biggest majority of the American people are against allowing the staggering number of fixated migrants to cross our borders daily, why is the will of the people being ignored? It's simple: you're expected to accept everything the government wishes to ram down your throats and be quiet.

Yes, I know they pretend to know what's best for you and me, but they can't even keep their own lives straight, much less the lives of others — so naturally, all they usually end up creating is a bunch of disproportionate chaos.

I think it's time the haggling and rhetoric be muted and get on with doing something positive about securing our borders. The hardworking "legal"taxpayers have been ripped off for years to make America wealthy — and now we are seeing it going down the drain or down Mehico's way.

President Fox wants his cake and eat it too — at the expense of Americans. Well, I say it's time to give him a sour pickle instead. He needs to take responsibility for his own people and quit expecting the United States to keep them and their families up.

Here are a few "stats" and rewards (for what — is anybody's guess), you the taxpayer will be expected to fund and educate illegal immigrants from in-state tuition costs in many states, otherwise known as the Dream Act program. This bill is supported by Senator Orrin Hatch and Rep. Chris Cannon, both Republicans. Now keep this in mind: these rewards are for "upstanding" illegal immigrants. Show me anybody upstanding who is breaking the law, and I'll eat a whole rack of hats! Thump...thump — is there anybody home up there in those hard heads?

Thank goodness the in-state tuition for illegal immigrants was voted down in my state.

Congress is doling out your money like there is tomorrow! Hello...shouldn't you be the ones benefitting from your hard labor? By the way — the big spending Dream Act party to reward illegal entrants into your country, is only going to cost you around $90 billion over the next decade and benefit 46,000 illegal immigrants — who in turn are supposed to benefit the economy. The truth of the matter is: there is no way on God's green earth — 46,000 illegal immigrants are going to return back $90 billion back into the economy — no matter how educated they are.

To put everything in context and bluntly my fellow Americans...you've been sold out!

And that's just my opinion!
